2014 #FortWayne Site of the Week

Fort Wayne has had a resurgence over the past 15 years that I’ve been back.  When I returned the downtown was a scary ghost town after 6pm and on the weekends too.  There were numerous complaints of “brain drain”, folks saying there was no place for the creative class to call home and they were leaving town as soon as possible.

It’s been changing, my friends.   We are not totally there yet, but not only is downtown vibrant again, but the rest of the city is coming together too.

I’m involved in a neighborhood outreach program in the neighborhood I grew up in in the 46805 zip code, even though I live in the 46815 zip, I am in the 05 a lot.

A couple of weeks ago, that creative class that calls 46807 home had a special event and their is also a website and social media accounts devoted to that Fort Wayne zip code.    Click on the Pic to visit the website.
