I have no idea.
I mean I have no idea why you write stuff online for others to read.
I know why some people write, and even a few others too.
But I do know why I write.
I write to express thoughts, ideas and concepts.
I write mostly for myself, but also to share with others.
When you read this website, You are getting a glimpse of me, Scott Howard aka ScLoHo.
I provide glimpses into my passions, into my knowledge and into the knowledge of others that I find interesting.
Facebook is the largest platform for this kind of sharing in the world, yet I limit my Facebook activity compared to what you’ll find here.
Some of you know that this website, ScottHoward.me is just the latest bit of writing that I’ve been doing online for nearly 10 years. Go to this article I wrote recently for links to my past and around 10,000+ articles.
I have friends and family who are much better writers when it comes to sentence structure, or creative writing. but that’s okay because this isn’t a contest.
Every once in awhile I’ll have a friend comment to me about something I wrote, and I’m surprised because that person read and remembered something that I wrote.
I recall the first time I met someone face to face who was telling me all about somethings I had shared on my websites and at first it was kind of spooky, all most as if I had a stalker. But then I realized, as we talked, that the words I had spent the time to compose, were being read and having some type of impact on others.
Not everything I write. Not everyone who reads it either. But that isn’t my intention either.
Like I said a moment ago,
I write to express thoughts, ideas and concepts.
I write mostly for myself, but also to share with others.
And now I am back to sharing 7 days a week.
Back to the question I have for you…Why do you write online?
